30th August 2011 - The Elliott family winners of the £250 voucher from Modeltech who won the Isle of Man Newspapers Competition to name the film that the character that stands outside the Modeltech shop is from.

26th April 2011 - St Thomas's School created a themed Easter Window in The Strand utilising an empty window overlooking the Market Street steps. The photos shows from left to right Lauren Slater, Jake Cullen, Ellie Johnson, Adam Godby, Ethan Kermode, Olivia Forrester and Kiera Metcalfe.

23rd April 2011 - There was face painting in the Easter Park which had a constant queue over the three days - from Easter Bunnies to more tribal art!

28th February 2011 - Winner of The Strands Valentine's £150 Voucher Competition.
